(September 12th, New York)
The Seeing Red: New York Soccer Roundup podcast (www.seeingredny.com) is pleased to announce that it is joining The North American Soccer Network (www.nasn.tv), the preeminent Internet soccer broadcasting network in the US and Canada, starting the week of September 10th. Seeing Red has served New York Red Bulls fans with a weekly audio show during the Major League Soccer season since February of 2010, and recently recorded its 100th episode.
Over its three-year run, Seeing Red has delivered its listeners Red Bulls news and interviews with dozens of current and former Red Bulls players and executives, including Dax McCarty, Tim Ream, Kenny Cooper, Dane Richards, Connor Lade, Teemu Tainio, Chris Heck, and Eric Stover. Soccer legends like Shep Messing, and Red Bulls opponents such as Kevin Hartman, Jon Busch, and AJ Soares have also spoken with Seeing Red.
“We see NASN as taking Seeing Red to the next level,” said Seeing Red founder and co-host Mark Fishkin. “NASN will allow us to serve media-starved Red Bulls fans with more live audio and video content, including live pre- and post-game shows, call-in shows, and video podcasts. Plus, NASN’s 24-hour live streaming NASN Radio will expose more listeners around North America to Seeing Red,” said Fishkin.
Seeing Red co-host and Empire Of Soccer creator Dave Martinez added, “NASN was instrumental in making the live-call-in 100th episode a major success. We’ve enjoyed watching NASN grow from afar and are thrilled to be joining its roster of quality shows.”
In addition to joining NASN, today Seeing Red announces plans to launch live, call-in post-game shows for New York’s two remaining 2012 road games, at New England on September 22nd, and at Philadelphia on October 20th. Immediately following those matches, listeners can visit www.seeingredny.com or http://nasn.tv/SeeingRed to listen to game reviews and analysis from the Seeing Red team. On the post-game shows, Fishkin said, “New York Red Bulls fans have suffered not only from a lack of success on the pitch but from indifference from the New York sports media. Our goal is to serve Red Bulls fans, who should enjoy the first live, English-language Red Bulls post-game audio show in the club’s 17-year history.”
